As the director of Children of the Kingdom, I have a passion for children around the world. In a way to support the ministry, I am excited to offer special, custom-made baby blankets. I have been making these blankets for friends and family to celebrate their newborn babies for over fifteen years. Through their design, these blankets literally wrap the babies in the prayers and blessings from family and friends.
You can order a blanket for a new baby in your circle of friends or family. The cost of each blanket is $100 as a gift to Children of the Kingdom to spread the love around the world ($75 of your gift is tax deductable). You will get to share up to 30 emails of family and friends to whom I will send a request for prayers and blessings to sew into the blanket.
The letter that I will send will be similar to the following template:
Dear friends and family of ________________________
I am writing to enlist your help. I am planning on making a special blanket for Baby ________ to welcome him into the world this fall. Here's how you can help to make it special:
Please write a prayer or blessing for Baby ________ or find a poem, song or quote that you would like to share with _____________ to welcome their baby boy. Then send it back to me in an email no later than_________. This gives you one week to complete this.
I will then write your words in permanent marker on a little square cloth that I will sew under some stars on a blanket for Baby _______. In this way, their baby will be wrapped up in all of our prayers.
I will also type up the prayers and include them in a special book so that they will know what you all are praying for them. Please keep a copy of your prayer as a reminder to support them through the pregnancy and in those first months of adjusting to a new baby.
Thank you so much for your help with this! This not only supports the _____ family but also blesses children around the world as a fundraiser for the Children of the Kingdom child sponsorship programs.
